Good morning! Morning is my favorite time of day because it's a new start and it's when my mind is the clearest and I'm most relaxed. I'm only working a few hours in the kitchens because I'm working at Graeter's tonight til...let's just say very late. Didn't think, ice cream parlor require a lot of work? Wrong. In fact, the schedule scheduled us to work an hour after closing for clean up. Okay, on to breakfast. These are salted duck eggs. I devoured an entire one and it's so good. The yolk is my favorite part. It's rich and creamy, nothing like hard boiled chicken eggs. And the whites are so salted but not like table salt salty but amost like a distinct sea salt salty . Hmmm...

I put them in piles so I know that each is worth half a banana and slicing the banana a head of time saves the blender blades from dulling so quickly.

Anyone heard of green monsters? I blend one frozen banana, three handfuls of spinach (that's right spinach) and 1 cup almond milk the you can basically had anything else you want in there: nut butters, fruits, protein powders etc... This is actually the first time I've made one myself and trust me you cannot taste anything but the sweetness of banana. The iron and all the vitamin of spinach you can drink in a matter of seconds and it's delicious and refreshing. It's so much faster then eating mouthful after mouthful of spinach. Don't believe me? Look at these bloggers

First time making it, I made no idea what proportions and how much it would make. Ya, I downed both cups and it was delicious. You just have a try it and see for yourself.

Y'all hang in there! I'm sure there's sunshine down the road!
