Sorry but here was yesterday's eats. And orange and an unpictured clif bar. Vitamin C! I went to the store again for some supplies to bake last night and guess what? I saw my brother's old clarinet teacher and we saw each other and I think she forgot my name and I definitely forgot her name and so I smiled at her and so I kept walking...that was definitely interesting. I also got a hair cut yesterday but you got to wait for the picture.

Hopefully I'm playing my flute at a wedding this Saturday at the Franklin Conservatory Park! I really don't know for sure yet because the coordinator for Chamber Music Columbus's gig program does everything through email which takes a while to get everything sorted and all the details down. But I picked up my flute for the first time since March and it felt sooooo good! I played the piano for over 10 years and the flute for over 7 years. I had to take a break this spring because I was just so busy and just wanted to focus on graduation. But I miss my baby flute! Okay, it's not so little. It's a solid sliver body and head with open holed keys so it can be heavy sometimes. I always say, if my house was on fire, my flute would be something I'd grab.
Dinner time! My mom cooked a normal Chinese dinner. Try to figure out for yourselves.

I also had a chopped salad of spinach, black beans, leftover roasted asparagus and some bing cherries! Yum. I didn't finish it but it was good.

Time to get serious: baking. You guys will never believe this. Cake balls: broken up cake crumbs mixed with frosting then dipped in chocolate. Mine was red velvet cake, cream cheese frosting and which chocolate coating. Next time, make sure your cake it cooled before you dip.

My mom took a picture to mock my mess that I make in the kitchen when I bake or cook. There must have been three dirty mixing bowls, countless spoons and forks, so messy that I can't find any of my spatulas, scissors or oven mittens...let me just say, it was an unflattering picture. Anyway, I made more magic bars. For some reason I always always forget to get something from the store. This time it was graham crackers and shredded coconut so I made a late night run.

Since I already started to bake the cake and made the half of the graham cracker crust with loads of butter, the house smelled like heaven when I got back. Hmmm...

The end product.

I'm one of those people who absolutely have break a sweat at least every other day to feel good. I got fed up last night and decided to do something that I would normally never do: I got up at 5am for a spinning class at 5:45am. I woke up at 5am and laid in my bed wondering if it was really worth getting up this early. Knowing that you can regret not working out but never regret working out, I got out of bed. I tiptoed down stairs, had a couple handfuls of cereal, got lost by turning into the wrong neighborhood to get to the gym and literally did my warm up power walking to class.
A recycled picture. I'm so glad I went! At first I was hesitant because the class seemed to be made up of mostly hardcore cyclists and the instructor was this 60+ year old guy in bike shorts, but I always end up the only person in the class smiling during the workout. It's always so funny to me imaging someone else looking into the class, watching 17 year old girl with 50 year old men working out with an over enthusiastic instructor(not that it's bad, it's just funny to me that he was shouting out all these inspirational phrases and "harder" and "faster" every 30 seconds or so).
Crazy.
