Yah, so I did. I can't believe I spent four hours driving around Columbus. It was crazy. So let's start at the beginning. My alarm went off at 6am. I got out of bed to get ready to go downtown. Last year was my first year running the 5k for the Race for the Cure and I loved every second of it. It's really something to see 50,000 runners and walkers, not even including the volunteers and spectators, coming together for one issue. It's hard to comprehend how breast cancer affects so many lives until you see the "in memory" or "in celebration of" pink paper pinned to so many shirts.
I wanted something light for breakfast so banana it was.

I tiptoed downstairs and it was freezing so I had to have something hot. Hmm...chai tea.

The group was meeting at the North Market at 7:45am. I figured it takes 25-30 minutes to get there but there must be traffic I left 15 minutes early. Ya...no. I sat in traffic for over an hour. Just look at all the cars behind me.

By doctor's order I wasn't suppose to run because of my knee. But I remembered Race for the Cure was so inspiring last year that I just had to run the first mile then hopped out and back in in the last 200 meters.

It was literally a mountain of water bottle and heaping piles of banana, granola bars, apples and yogurt. I swiped a Skinny Cow fudgesicle at the expo. Who says you can't have ice cream 9 in the morning?

I hang around and watched the walkers walk to the finish line. It was pretty cool to see the young and old together and some ran hand in hand together to the finish line. Another part I love about the Race for the Cure is the incredible spectators, one being all the motorcyclists revving their engines all the way down high street. Really. It was awesome.

Did I mention there were 50,000 participants?

With all the roads closed, I was stuck for a while. So I passed time walking around North Market. I absolutely love it there.

Eventually, I found my way out of there and drove half hour home. I pretty much dropped my things off and drove half hour round trip to an acupuncture appointment for my joints. More on my joints later. Anyway, it was so relaxing that I fell asleep. Zzz... If you know me well, I don't fall asleep easily at all. Then I rushed home threw together lunch: whole wheat bread with organic chunky PB, Lynd's raspberry jam, and yummy pineapple (my fav!)

Then I rushed to get my stuff together for a birthday party. Part of it was at Coco Key Water Resort in Newark. I definitely spent some quality time with the radio and looking at New Albany's white fences. I really like their fences. Almost an hour drive there and the GPS once again proved to be unreliable. Recalculating...drive 23 miles...recalculating...

I had a blast there! Then we went back to the birthday girl's house. Another 25-30 minute drive. Yummy pizza...nom nom nom

Holy crap. An intense chocolate cupcake with chocolate ganache, chocolate mousse, and a fudge center.

Of course, what is birthday cake without ice cream? Graeter's cookies and cream on the left and toffee chip on the right. I left their house feeling really really stuffed.

We girls proceeded to Easton for the movie "Letters to Juliet" and guess what I saw...a batmobile. Okay, 10 minute drive here.

The movie was so cute. Adorable! Since I was still pretty full but was dieing to try the new Yagoot, I had a sample of their original tart flavor. For y'all who don't know, this is REAL frozen yogurt. The real deal.

The group. Let me just say, the birthday girl hosts good parties :) It was fun!

I drove half hour home and literally crushed on the sofa for a minute then my bed. I was clearly exhausted.
I could have driven to Pittsburgh with rest stops today.
