Today is my first day at Four Seasons. I'm a little nervous to be working around a chef and big kitchen equipments but super excited to get started. The chef wanted me to come in around 11am to help prep and perhaps serve at a party tonight. Long day ahead so I started my day with hot oatmeal.

I cooked old fashioned oatmeal with half water and half milk and a small mashed banana. Normally I would top it with nut butter and some jam but decided to do things differently today. Banana is the key to sweetness and not adding other sweeteners. When you add the banana from the start of the cooking process, it's caramelized in the end. So basically you get caramelized banana oats as your base.
- oatmeal, water, milk
- small banana
- vanilla and pinch of salt
- toppings: shredded coconut, walnuts and mini chocolate chips

Hmmm...melted chocolate

Of course, my mom spoils me. I absolutely LOVE tropical fruits. This morning was mangoes.
Okay off to do a short run before the rain comes pouring.
