You'll see my epic fail in a minute. By the way, here is an interesting article from the New York TImes about blogging about food whether they are actually respecting the food and letting it get cold in the resturant and what kind of free media it's getting. I had another acupuncture appointment today. It was a little painful today because my knee was tender from a fitness class I took this morning and my wrist and finger from working last night. But I still love it because it's so relaxing just laying there knowing that you have no obligations for the next 40 minutes. I love it. And I'm a believer or at least a trier in alternative medicine. Anyway, Aldi was right beside the acupuncture place and I stopped in. Often times the small name products are under the same company as the normal brand name products in other chain supermarkets. Don't ask me why cause I forgot but here's another article about what makes Aldi so cheap.

Cheese and crackers and another big plateful later.
Okay here’s my epic fail. I think the part of where I failed was cheating and using red skin potatoes for that one sweet potato I didn’t have. Yup, I didn’t run to the store. It was doughy and still had little chunks of potato that I couldn’t smash. Here was my parent’s scale that they use to weigh packages to ship.

Now does it start to look like gnocchi? It looks pretty good right?

Cooked these babies in boiling water for a couple minutes then sauted it in brown butter sage. No, not good but I still ate it with some roasted broccoli.
My mom and I went shopping in the evening for white heels to match my graduation dress. Does anyone recognize this place? DSW? I was yawning like a mad woman.

Guys, what if I showed up to graduation in these shoes but in white? Would the school have a fight and throw me off stage? I kid, I kid :)

Polaris was up next. I had a few too many samples of tea but I needed it to stop yawning.

Francesca's

Crowded Friday night mall

Back up a bit. I picked up the famous strawberry cake for my mom's birthday.
