Did you know I use to read up to three chapters books a week when I was younger? It absolutely did nothing to help my writing but I loved reading. My favorite use to be historical fiction. Now, I'm not so sure because all the reading I had to do in high school made me tired of reading. Really, after reading like 50 pages about the Russian Revolution, I don't want to read before I go to bed. So sometimes I sit on my bed with my laptop (bad bad! the bright light disrupts sleep patterns) or look through magazines or just stare at the ceiling thinking about whatever I need to think about before I close my eyes.
I went to the library yesterday because I haven't been there in so long.

New technology. Pretty cool huh?

I already have a chapter book for senior project I'm reading so I just borrowed some other things.
- Everyday with Rachael Ray
- Cooking Light
- Self
- Runner's World
- Self yoga (watch for Sunday)
- Copying Beethoven

I forgot to tell you last night. I was in the check out line at Trader Joe's and saw the cutest cashier ever! Oh, he had deep dreamy eyes and dark brown curly hair and cute smile. He was really nice too. I really think there's nothing to looks if the personality is bad or if he treats you bad. Okay, moving on. Morning started with hot oats because I was shivering when I got out of bed. You have to check out KERF's oatmeal creations. It's almost overwhelming.

- 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cow's milk, 1/2 water, 1 small banana sliced
- pinch of salt, dash of vanilla, sprinkle of cinnamon
- spoonful of that TJ almond butter and flaxseeds and raspberry jam
It's a really comforting meal to me in the morning and it warmed me inside out. Whip whip whip!

Love that melty butter

I never really grew up with cow milk even though I use to drink a big cup everyday. And now I really dislike the milky taste but I still drink it because it know it's good and got lots of protein. I had another early morning because we were catering lunch. It was an easy menu: italian salad, roasted beef sandwich, stuffed Florentine chicken, roasted potato, herb rolls. The chef threw together lunch for all the staff here and the picture below is just a portion of them. It was cheeseburgers (big ol' patty), some of that leftover roasted potato baked with cheese and simple salad. I think it's pretty cool that they can cook lunch for themselves with whatever they want.

Like I said yesterday, I don't want to feed myself all that rich stuff everyday. However, I did plenty of tasting:
- Alfredo sauce: chef makes it from scratch and it is to die for
- fried green beans
- stuffed Florentine chicken
- crap load of fontina cheese and fresh mozzarella
- then came home and had a few spoonful of that almond butter

Here's the chef showing off his stuffed Florentine chicken smothered in his Alfredo sauce.

Stuffing was spinach, fontina cheese, and cherry tomato

Roasted potato with spices

Every so often, Four Seasons does a free tasting party. That's right, free. You just have to make a reservation and you can sample so many of their wedding menu items and hor d'oeuvres. It's really amazing what you can get.
- salad station (Cesare and spinach)
- carving station: roasted Strip Loin of Beef or Smoked Turkey Breast
- rocks station:New York Strip, Rock Shrimp Salad, Herbed marinated Pork Loin, Ahi Tuna Filet, Tabboule
- Pizza station: flat olive oil pizzas
- pasta station with toppings

and this uncooked caprese pizza

It's hard work cause I'm tired! Anyway here's the oreo cheesecake that I promised. This is a modified recipe from Martha Stewart.

Ain't that crust nifty?

It's such an easy recipe. Cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla, egg and oreo. That's it and no water bath or spring pan.
