No title.

I've been dieing to post some pictures of Graeter's and these pics are actually from a while ago. I just get home way way too late to post. These are all my favorite flavors at Graeters and if you didn't know I have a huge weak spot for ice cream! Okay from the left across: Elena's blueberry pie, oreo cheesecake and toffee chip. Top row: cotton candy and black raspberry chip. Bottom row: cookies and cream and Buckeye Blitz (chocolate ice cream with peanut butter cookie dough and dark chocolate chips) Yummy.

Oh and sorbet flavors: raspberry, mango and lemon. I suppose the only other flavor there was was strawberry. It's hard to scoop because it's so flaky and doesn't only it's shape. So some tips about ordering ice cream that most likely will not help you. Know the consistency of the ice cream. If it's a hard and dense ice cream like coconut chip it will be under scooped. Some sticky ice cream like chocolate or flaky like the strawberry sorbet will not hold well on a sugar cone. If you order a waffle cone it will most likely be over scooped to give it the classic bowler hat look. This also means that the kids scoop will definitely be over scoop or you'll loose it in the waffle cone. If you're looking for value, milkshakes are worth your money the most. For example the large shake is 4.89 and it takes 3 regular scoops. If you got 3 regular scoops in a cup it'll cost you around 5.40. And we have specific scoops and we have to weigh it every time we work. A kids scoop of 3oz, regular is 4.7 oz and sundae is 7oz.
One more tip that will not get the ice cream crew mad it you: do not come it right before closing and order sundaes. We actually start the cleaning about 45 minutes before closing and still sometime get out at close to midnight. By closing time, ice cream should be scrapped and covered and the sundae bar broken down.
What about my stay at Pittsburgh? It's fine. It's thunderstorming and just let me reiterate this: I love thunderstorms even as a child. This was breakfast. Can you guess what the white stuff is? It's ricotta cheese and strawberries. The ricotta cheese has a very mellow cheese flavor and it's super thick and creamy. I had this (x2) and with a couple spoonfuls of almond butter and it'll even be better with some granola. Trust me. Try it. I was pleasantly surprised when I threw this comb together since I didn't have yogurt.

I was bored and absolutely needed to walk around and be somewhat active. And again, I one of those people who have to break a sweat every other day or so to get the endorphins and be happy. So my aunt went grocery shopping and I tagged along. Of course, when she was persistent she wanted to buy ice cream how could I say no?
sweet dreams
